Category: Ideal Protein Main Dishes

Ingredients

For 1 Batch(es)

List:

1 cup canned choped or diced tomatoes (with juices). Use the cans with oregano, basil and garlic for an extra burst of flavor.
2 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
2 Tbsp. large sliced garlic (or more to taste)
of kosher salt (or more to taste)
of crushed black pepper (or more to taste)
large pinch of basil (medium chopped)
pasta of your preference (or zucchini spiral noodles)

Pic-Pac Sauce Directions

  1. Place the garlic and extra virgin olive oil into a sauté pan and heat together on low, stirring occasionally.
  2. Cook to soften garlic and release its flavor into the oil. Do not brown garlic or it will overcook. Let garlic and oil mixture cool.
  3. Add the tomatoes with their juices along with the salt and pepper to the garlic and oil pan.
  4. Stir until thoroughly mixed and add the basil and stir again.
  5. Heat shortly at medium-low. Follow the instructions on pasta and toss it with the sauce.
  6. If you're using zucchini instead of pasta, add to the sauce mixture and heat just until they begin to get soft. Toss, serve and enjoy!

Notes

If you're on the Ideal Protein Weight Loss Method, this is great served over the Rotini Pasta to get your protein servings in.
